It used to be the custom of the special Bheja or Guth meeting held once a year to decide what kind of rituals to set for the coming year, like how much to determine the price of crops, animals, birds, alcohol, etc. This tradition is still alive in Magar communities.
The origin of the word "Bheja" is found from the Magar language spoken under the Eighteen Magarats and this word and its meaning have also found a place in the Nepali comprehensive dictionary. Magar Bheja is translated into simple Nepali words – शिसी, भाग, अश्च, – in English it means -share –. Bheja in general means to work together.
